Verizon Wireless engineers must be fumbling around at the moment, as it seems that there is another rather wide outage of its 4G LTE data network – at least that is what our little birds picked up along the lines of Twitter. In the month of December alone, Verizon Wireless’ network already reported at least a couple of outages, and attributed the annoying down time to “growing pains.” Right now, Verizon is looking into whatever could cause the outage, which has so far affected users in Indianapolis, Milwaukee, Phoenix, and as well as in pockets of Pennsylvania and Ohio – as far as we know, that is. Verizon’s statement on Twitter says, “VZW is investigating customer issues in connecting to the 4GLTE data network. 3G data, voice, and text services are operating reliably.” Some 4G phone owners claim otherwise, as 3G does not work on their smartphones either.
