We last talked about the HTC Fireball late last year, where the smartphone surfaced on Verizon’s system and has been touted by some to be a 4G LTE global handset. Well, there has been some activity concerning the HTC Fireball, having received a spanking new Wi-Fi certification in a document that listed the HTC PJ53. At least this offers a glimmer of hope to folks who are wondering whether this handset is still under development or not. Apart from 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz 802.11 a/b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity, precious little else is know about the phone. It will most probably run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich as well to keep up with the times, and we do believe that a dual-core Qualcomm S4 processor is also set to be in store alongside an 8-megapixel shooter, and a qHD display. Will it be unveiled at MWC next week? Not likely, considering this looks set to be a US-only device.
