The below trailer caused me to grin like a big, but incredibly happy idiot. The more I see of Super Mario 3D Land, the more I like it. It seems to combine the best bits of Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy and New Super Mario Bros to create the best adventure with the world’s favorite Italian plumber with a girlfriend who has a ‘getting kidnapped’ fetish. The latest trailer for Need for Speed: The Run shows why living life on the edge isn’t necessarily a good thing because, you know, you could fall off it and die. The game looks like it’ll deliver the intense, adrenaline-fueled racing action the series is known for. I’m still not sold on the running bits where the game turns into Mirror’s Edge with quick-time events, though. Let’s hope Need for Speed: The Run delivers when it launches in the US on November 15th and Europe on November 18th.

Here’s the full list of applications you can expect to play with when the device launches next year, along with a brief description of what they do: Welcome Park – We invite you to the Welcome Park to explore and discover all of the brilliant features packed into PS Vita through a series of mini-games. Party – Fancy a chat while you’re gaming? Speak with your friends anytime you like with Party. The voice and text chat application allows you to talk to up to eight party members, no matter what you’re doing. Party also allows you to set up and jump in multiplayer games and chat with Friends while you play different games, bringing cross-game chat to PS Vita. PlayStation Store – A direct link to PlayStation Store where you will be able to download all PS Vita games, trailers, DLC and apps.
