I understand that a lot of games strive for realism, but at the same time, I can’t understand it when said realism sacrifices a users gameplay experience.
A lot of people have been complaining that the Battlefield 3 beta has lots of bugs that need to be fixed, but lets face it, that is what a beta is for, and for those who say that the game needs to be more prepared this close to release; well, it is. Beta releases are often several steps behind the current functional version of the game that is being used in-house, and they’re usually miles of builds behind the one that eventually goes gold.
Having worked with EA (and more specifically EAP) in the past, I can assure you that they will not let a game filled with bugs get to gold, even if they are desperate to try and dethrone Bobby Kotick’s Goliath Call of Duty franchise.
Back to my original point though! Having played some of the beta and trying to capture media especially, i’ve noticed that the game is blurry, all the time, it’s blurry, every explosion, every movement, every jolt, and the entire world around me seems to blur completely, if only for a fraction of a second at times.
Check out these screens below to see what I mean:

You might say this was just bad timing on my part, but i’ve captured over 300 images from the BF3 beta and literally all of them have been blurred to some insane extent. I haven’t heard anyone else speak out on this subject yet, so maybe it’s just me, but does no one else seem to think that the amount of blur in BF3 is absurd?
